I want to share some colourful highlights from my last trip to Jaipur. Jaipur is where MoM of Sweden's supplier is based, which I'm so happy for- this paradise on earth!
It's a true pleasure every time I come to India and Jaipur to meet the supplier and do the developments of new products, it feels almost as home! All the skilled craftsmen are so professional, experienced and amazing, always with a big smile - and no problem is too big to be solved.
I get so inspired every time I'm here, so as well this time and I did far more new products than planned. Here is a prototype in the making for a new bracelet that will be launched later this year.
I was lucky to be invited for a big birthday to a dear friend, in the biggest temple in Jaipur, Govind Dev Ji. We got a delicious meal, blessed by the gods and we ate on the floor. While eating our food, the hosts walked around and welcomed everyone and made sure we were happy and content. Several hundred people were invited so when our plates were empty, we rose and left our seats on the floor for the next hungry guests.
I love the friendliness, the great food and the colours of the dresses. It's amazing and so beautiful with the mix and match of colours, our rules of mixing colours is NOT applicable in India!
Speaking of colour...
I was so lucky to be able to join a dear friend working with a textile brand to the countryside to see real mud printed Indigo. It was an amazing experience! We went by car about 45 minutes from Jaipur to the countryside and got to see 3 various printing places with various techniques, see below.
